There was plenty to like about SIR SHOLOKOV‘s hurdle debut at Newbury and I’m backing him to step up on that today at Southwell. Harry Whittington’s youngster chased home a nice sort from the Skelton yard the last day and that bare form looks plenty strong enough to take this at Southwell. He had earlier won an Irish point which shows he has plenty of ability and having had a wind op prior to his first run under rules you should see the benefit of that in his second run.
It’s a decent little race today and he may have a bit to find on ratings with a few but I think he could progress past those today.
Southwell 2.20 Sir Sholokov
