Ben`s Tips of The Day

of WILL STING would have felt a little bit sick when they were given a 13lb rise for winning a weak race at last time out for all that he did it very easy. Some decent novice form suggested he would be better than his opening mark but to be given a 13lb hike seemed a bit harsh. However, with that said, Lucy Wadham has found him a nice opportunity to get his head in front again in this conditional jockeys handicap hurdle. Corey McGivern is able to claim 10lbs which negates almost all of his hike and must give him a great chance of winning again. Ground won’t be a problem and the stiff nature of the track should suit also so I can see him going in again for sure.

MISTY WHISKY will have conditions in her favour as she bids to get her head back in front after a near miss in the Lanzarote last time out. She was doing some good late work which suggested a stiffer track should see her in a better light and she gets that test today albeit in a Grade 2 against some other smart mares. Harry has always thought plenty of her though, so I anticipate there is more to come.

HENRI LE BON has let me down the past twice but I’m not giving up on him just yet. He stopped far too quickly last time and wind surgery has since taken place. That together with the addition of a first time tongue tie will hopefully work the oracle and he can put his best foot forward because I’m sure there is a nice horse there.

1.20 – Will Sting

Sandown 2.30 – Misty Whisky

Sandown 4.50 – Henri Le Bon
