It’s hard to ignore SPRINGFIELD FOX at Wincanton today given the impressive start he made to his chasing career last season. Tom George’s horse showed a distinct preference for soft ground as he hosed up at Chepstow and Exeter. He was then fancied for the National Hunt Chase at the festival but unseated his rider. This season seemed to be geared around the Welsh National and rightly so given his profile but he was never travelling in that race and although I’m not sure if anything showed up after that I’m willing to take a chance on him today. Best priced 17/2 as I write this he should reward each way backers today.
