Racing Ahead Readers will know OSCAR ROBERTSON is one of my bets of the month. Tom George's horse was also one of my ten to follow at the start of the season so I can't really desert him here and I don't want to either. A real stamp of a horse he has impressed with how he has taken to chasing so far and despite finding 2m 5f too short last time he still managed to get up in the dying strides. Badly outpaced before turning in, he almost dropped out of the screen but he came with a rattle up the straight and put his rivals to the sword.
He now steps up in trip which is a move which I think will bring about plenty of improvement and George seems to have found him a good opportunity to get his head in front again. Danny Cook jumps off one of his boss' horses to ride and if that isn't a tip in itself I don't know what is. Everything looks set for a big run and I will be very disappointed if he is beat.
