Judicial’s connections decide against All-Weather Championships

have confirmed Judicial will now have the off instead of trying to qualify for the All-Weather Championships Finals Day.

The eight-year-old was last seen at earlier this month, finishing fifth behind Good Effort in the Betway Golden Rose Stakes.

That result in the Fast-Track Qualifier meant he missed out on an automatic place on for the Good meeting, having won the race 12 months ago.

A winter campaign was considered, but connections are now ready to put him away until The Palace House Stakes at in May.

“He’s gone off for his holidays, and he’ll be back early next year,” said Camacho’s husband and assistant, Steve Brown.

“Obviously he won’t qualify for , so he’ll come back probably in the Palace House.

“Unless you win a ‘win and you’re in’ race, you have to run three times, but we won’t be running him three times over the winter.”

He added: “Last year was simple enough. He won that Lingfield race, so qualified automatically, and we brought him back early. This year he didn’t pull it off, but we didn’t feel we wanted to keep him in all winter just to wait for Good Friday.

“The Palace House is the logical starting point for him.”
