The novices handicap chase ran at Uttoxeter a few weeks ago couldn’t be working out much better. Demachine the winner looks set for much better things and the second has won at Newbury. The fourth looked set to go close at Wetherby as well before coming to grief so it’s fair to say it was a strong race.
CHECKITOUT finished 6th after being outpaced turning for home which was a solid effort on chase debut. He jumped well in the main and looks set to benefit from the step up in trip he faces today at Ludlow. The Twiston-Davies’ are in cracking form at present and they look to have another good chance here. I can’t see the 3/1 lasting too long and he looks the one to be on.
