The flat season is drawing to a close but there is some good action today across four flat cards. Up at Musselburgh there is an intriguing 7f handicap which may take a bit of winning. I fancy the chances of QUEENS SARGENT who boasts a solid course record and also some very useful current form. Her run behind Revich at Chester can be marked up as she came from miles off the pace when not many got involved and a repeat of her run at Ascot after would also see her go close here. She disappointed at Ayr last time, but I'm willing to forgive that run and take the each way price about her here.
Another I'm willing to forgive is MOXY MARES who is on a career low mark today at Yarmouth. Mark Loughnane knows the time of day and his booking of Oisin Murphy certainly catches the eye. A revival could be forthcoming and if so, he's on the right sort of mark to cash in on that.
I'm in a forgiving mood today as my final tip also let me down last time. I was pretty confident about CHICHESTER last time at Chester but he was beat a long way from home. It was such a disappointing performance that something just had to be wrong and the break since suggest that thought process is correct. There is no doubting he too is lurking on a good mark and if fully recovered I think Hollie Doyle could guide him to victory.
