The weather put pay to my turf tip yesterday
and I am slightly worried about today's tips acting on a softer surface. As I
write this, Warwick are currently advertising Good to Firm ground, although it
can't possibly be that given the rain the area had yesterday but I'm hoping it
stays somewhere near good with a good drying day ahead.
WHATTHEBUTLERSAW loves top of the
ground and is a very capable animal on his day. His rating has dropped to a
much more workable mark and he showed plenty of life last time when flying home
to finish a close fourth over course and distance. I think he is in a bit
deeper today but if any of the market leaders fail to fire then I think this
old boy will be there to pick up the pieces.
I
can't really class CAPTAIN MORGS as
a tip as he hasn't raced yet and I'm basing my assumptions on Nico De
Boinville's presence at Warwick. As I mentioned the other day, he is a rare
visitor to a racetrack at this time of year so the fact he comes to Warwick to
ride one has to be a big clue. This one is plenty short enough enough but I
think he may just drift throughout the day and he could be one to be on come
the off.
