Trainer John Gosden has confirmed he may send Fanny Logan back to America for a second shot in the Breeders’ Cup Maker’s Mark Filly & Mare Turf.
The four-year-old finished fourth in the race in November, but Gosden says she could return after a recent break.
Fanny Logan, the daughter of Sea The Stars, has not been seen since winning the Hardwick Stakes at Royal Ascot on June 20.
This year’s Breeders’ Cup Maker’s Mark Filly & Mare Turf takes place at Santa Anita on November 6 and Gosden says connections are contemplating the race for his stable star.
He told reporters: “Fanny Logan is on the easy list.
“She might come back late in the autumn. We will see if we can get to the Breeders’ Cup again.”
Gosden has also confirmed Star Catcher could head straight for the Qipco British Champion Fillies’ and Mares’ Stakes at Ascot on her belated return to action.
He added: “She is in a similar situation to Fanny Logan.
“I’ve had a bit of a struggle getting her back, but we will see if we can make Champions Day with her.”
