Teddy Grimthorpe says Logician is “in good shape” after his Doncaster win with connections still plotting his next step.
John Gosden‘s charge returned from almost a year out, having suffered a life-threatening illness, to cruise to a seven-length victory over Mythical Magic in the Sky Sports Racing Sky 415 Conditions Stakes at Doncaster on Thursday.
Racing manager Grimthorpe admitted his performance at Town Moor exceeded expectations and the team are hopeful he can extend his six-race unbeaten record in the future.
Logician currently holds entries at Ascot on British Champions Day over 10 furlongs and two miles but Grimthorpe claims they are yet to make a final decision.
“He’s come out of it fine, I’m pleased to say,” said Grimthorpe.
“He seems to be in good shape after it and it was everything we could have hoped for actually as a race.
“We’ve got no real plans as such. I think John’s inclination is to go gently and we really wanted to see how he came out of the race and see how he progresses before making a decision.”
