There are a few I fancy today but the prices
aren’t as favourable as I thought they would be so it is just the one tip today
and it comes at Haydock. Richard Hannon is a dab hand at getting one at the
right end of the handicap and he seems to worked his magic again with MARK OF GOLD. Quietly fancied at
Pontefract, he showed plenty on handicap debut to finish second to an in form
rival before going one better at Bath last time out. That run was on soft
ground which should stand him in good stead today and he won cosy enough to
suggest that a 6lb hike might not stop him from going in again. I think he will
end up over further being by Golden Horn but the long straight here should
bring his stamina into play and I really rate his chances at 3/1.
