Williams Haggas has revealed plans to take Addeybb back to Ascot in October as they seek glory in the Qipco Champion Stakes.
The six-year-old hasn’t been seen since settling for second, three-and-three-quarter-lengths behind Lord North, in the Prince Of Wales’s Stakes at Royal Ascot on June 17.
Addeybb, who had been building momentum after back-to-back wins at Rosehill and Randwick in Australia, finished second in the Qipco Champion Stakes last season and Haggas is hoping to see his charge go one better this time around.
Haggas says Addeybb could be given a run out prior to the October 17 showpiece but admits they are still assessing several options.
“The plan is to run him in the Qipco Champion Stakes at Ascot in which he finished second a year ago,” Haggas said.
“I want to give him a run beforehand but don’t know where just yet. We could go to Longchamp on Arc weekend but that may come a bit close to Ascot so we’ll see.”
