Ryan Moore says it “should be possible” for Love to challenge for the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe following Thursday‘s win at York.
Love produced a commanding performance on day two of the Ebor Festival to win the Darley Yorkshire Oaks, stretching away from her rivals before easing down in the final stages to finish five lengths clear of Alpinista in second.
That was the three-year-old’s third straight victory, adding to the 1,000 Guineas and Oaks successes earlier this year, and all roads now lead to the Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe at Longchamp on October 4.
Speaking about the possibility of contending in the Arc, winning jockey Moore said, as quoted by Racing Post: “It should be possible. We’ve always believed she’s a better filly on better ground.
“For me, she’s not a mile-and-three-quarters horse.”
The Arc is shaping up to be an absolute cracker, with Love going up against the likes of Enable, Ghaiyyath and Stradivarius.
