Friday & Saturday`s Tips with Ben

Just one
speculative punt after a gruelling week so far. My old friend ROSADORA is due to run at but
having failed to load three times this season, I don’t hold much hope of her
going in. But it’s got to the point where I can’t let her go unbacked because
you just know what will happen. I do think she is well handicapped however and
if the blinkers work then I hope she can run a mighty race.

Sandown 4.35 – Rosadora – 0.5pts e/w

Saturday

            I’m
taking a punt on another old friend on Saturday as VIA SERENDIPITY is beginning to look very well handicapped. Now
rated just 83 and in the care of Charlie Fellowes I hope it is only a matter of
time until he finds his form again as he is clearly a capable horse. An all
weather rating of 105 proves that and it was only two years ago that he was
winning off 95 over CD in the Shergar Cup with today’s rider on board. It’s a
speculative punt one that could pay off.

            I
was very impressed with JEREMIAH last
time out over course and distance as he and Sam Cooke pulled clear of a good
field. I believe both were very well in that day and a 6lb rise may not be
enough to stop Charlie Fellowes’ progressive 5 year old from going in again. He
missed 2019 through injury but after a couple of runs, he seems to have found
his feet again this year.

Look Closely was
well placed last time and Omnivega has to prove himself on turf so his main
rivals have questions to answer and at 6/1 at the time of writing, he looks a
good each way bet.

EVENING SUN should have finished
a lot closer the last day but fell asleep at the back of the field
and Frankie’s race awareness won the day. Back down in slightly calmer waters
today at with William Buick in the saddle I think he should take the
world of beating off the same mark. His form is good and his breeding suggests
he should be capable of winning a race of this nature.

2.25 – Via Serendipity – 0.5pts e/w

Ascot 3.35 – Jeremiah – 1.5pts e/w

Newmarket 4.35 – Evening Sun – 2pt win
