I'm banking on the Evan Williams stable today
as both my tips hail from the Welshman's yard. First up is VOODOO DOLL who shaped as if he would come on for the run last time
out at Southwell. I've always thought of him as a proper good ground horse who
likes a strong pace to run at and he should get that here in this competitive
handicap hurdle. He is the outsider of the field at the time of writing but I
wouldn't let that put you off as I think he has plenty of poundage in hand.
With Izzy Williams' claim taken into consideration he runs off 114 today which
is a good stone or so below his best so he is definitely worth a bit of each
way support.
Next
up is CARPOOL who has ultimately
been disappointing so far but has shown enough promise to suggest she is up to
winning off this mark. She will have to shoulder top weight today but Izzy
Williams' claim negates some of the burden. A reappearance run on better ground
looked full of promise and if able to build on that I think she has a strong
chance in a weak race.
