Nunthorpe aim for A’Ali

A'Ali is being aimed at next month's as target glory at .

The three-year-old finds himself in fine form, winning at on July 5 before claiming Sunday's Sapphire Stakes at the .

Connections are now looking ahead to the remainder of the summer and father and son trainers Simon and Ed Crisford have identified the Knavesmire for the son of Society Rock's next outing.

After winning the Norfolk Stakes at Royal , the Prix Robert Papin at Deauville and the Flying Childers at during his two-year-old campaign, he is set to take on the likes of Battaash and Oxted on August 24.

The Crisfords only took him on in May but Sunday's Group Two success has further bolstered their confidence and Ed Crisford believes the time is right to see how he goes at the top level.

“It's great to win another Group Two with him,” he said, as quoted by the Yorkshire Post. “I think he's actually improved from two to three and has strengthened up ? he's turning into a very progressive sprinter.

“He deserves to take his chance at the top level now. I'd imagine we'll go for the Nunthorpe next month and his big target will be the Flying Five back at the Curragh in September ? I think the stiff five furlongs there suits him really well.

“We'll have to take on Battaash in the Nunthorpe and with Art Power, Oxted and the two-year-old (Golden Pal) all looking like heading there, it should be a great race.”
