BEN`S TIPS of the Day 8.7.20

I wish this piece could have gone out at first show last
night because TOM COLLINS opened up
at 6/1 at and I think he was a belting each way bet at that price.
David Elsworth's horse was a big eye catcher last time out at when he
was one of only two backmarkers to make up ground on the leaders as they
finished spread eagled across the track. He probably should have won and I'm
hoping the switch to this much fairer track brings about a change in luck. I
think he is much better than what he has shown so far as his win in
2019 suggests and with Oisin Murphy booked today I hope he can get his head
back in front again today.

                The
2.10 at is a cracking little handicap and the sort of handicap I really
like getting stuck into. Unfortunately I like two in the race so I won't be
going mad but marginal preference is for BENADALID
who won very cosily here last time out. Considering the front runners had
the run of the race that day he did well to get anywhere near the front let
alone go on and win comfortably. That was his third course win from 6 runs and
with two other placed efforts here, it's fair to say he loves this place. He's
been dealt a 4l hike in the weights which isn't an overreaction by any means
and if the cards fall right I think he could go in again.

Newbury 6.10 – Tom Collins – 1.5pt win

Ripon 2.10 – Benadalid – 1pt win
