BEN`S TIPS of the Day Friday –Saturday & Sunday

3.7.20

Fuscha thankfully broke my awful streak of losing
yesterday and did it in good style. I hope drop him back to 5f
because he travels so sweetly and could prove very progressive over that trip.

                I'm
hoping to carry this momentum forward into today and I have found a couple of
interesting at . First up is
ENTENTE
who despite being unraced jumps off the page at me. John Gosden's
three year old is a full sister to Air Force Blue so it's very interesting
that  Gosden even has him in his yard as
you would think the Coolmore boys would be keen to snap her up but they haven't
and I think she could prove to be useful on these shores. I don't normally tip
unraced horses but I will make an exception as this isn't much of a race and at
5/2 she is a very fair price.

                Another
horse who is very fairly priced at the time of writing is POT OF PAINT for the Tom Dascombe team. All his runners should be
respected around here and I feel the bookmakers haven't given this one much
respect by pricing it up at 8/1. He boasts solid CD form and is race fit which
makes him a solid bet in a flakey race. I think there are some nice types but
this race might just be a day or two early for a few of these. Red Missile is a
very interesting type for an in form yard and I do fear him but my race fit,
proven selection is a solid each way play here.

Haydock – American Entente – 1pt win

Haydock 4.00 – Pot Of Paint – 1pt e/w

Epsom day is upon us and I
think everyone knows where my money lies today. I've been backing MOGUL for the Derby since the start of
Lockdown and I have seen nothing to put me off him now. His price has
contracted considerably since I started backing him and I do think he could
still end up being shorter come the off now that has chosen to ride
him.

His reappearance at wasn't
all that bad considering he was probably only 70% fit and recent comments from
O'Brien suggest he has stepped forward considerably from that. The fact he has
always rated the Ballydoyle number one for this race despite not actually
showing it on the track just yet shows just what regard they hold this horse in
and being a full brother to Japan and Secret Gesture, two horses who really
should have claimed Classic glory here, he is certainly bred for the job. He's
a strong each way selection today and I am looking forward to seeing him run.

I've got LOVE at 40/1 to win the Guineas and and I can't really see her
beat today. She is even money so I won't pretend I'm tipping up something
completely out of the blue but she is bred to excel over this trip and she won
the Guineas with consummate ease which makes her, to my mind, a banker. Frankly
Darling was in the right position at Ascot as they kicked and although she
looked impressive I'm not convinced she will be able to hold the form with
Ennistymon let alone beat Love.

Epsom 3.40 – Love – 3pt win

Epsom 4.55 – Mogul – 2pts e/w

Sun 5.7.20

SUBJECTIVIST ran
a blinder at Royal Ascot when he put it up to some well handicapped rivals and
he proved he was the class act that I thought he could be. He bids to concede
lumps of weight again on Sunday as he takes on more progressive types but with
Mark Johnston already booking Richard Kingscote for the ride, I think he will
be able to put up a big performance. The step up in trip should really suit and
bring about more improvement, perhaps more improvement than the 3lb rise he was
handed after Ascot.

BABBO'S BOY finally put it all together
last time out here at Haydock. He was always well thought of at Michael Bell's
yard but the switch to Ralph Beckett's seems to have rejuvenated him no end. He
looked like he had a tonne in hand last time as he handed a beating to some
nice horses, who have since won. Although he has a 7lb hike to contend with, I
do hope he has plenty more to offer and he rates a solid each way bet here.

                The
French Derby takes place at 2.10 and like Love, I am holding a betslip for VICTOR LUDORUM to complete a classic
double. I think he is the best horse to come out of France for some time and he
is the apple of Andre Fabre's eye. His master trainer has bought him along
perfectly so far with this race being the plan from the outset. He won the
Poulins with plenty in hand and with this step up 10f expected to bring about
further improvement, he should take the world of beating today.

Haydock 2.05 – Subjectivist – 1pt e/w

Haydock 3.15 – Babbo's Boy – 1pt e/w

Chantilly 2.10 – Victor Ludorum – 3pt win
