CHESHIRE was a
big eyecatcher last time at Doncaster when staying on from a mile back to grab
third place. That was a pretty hot race I thought and it was a hell of a run to
finish where she did. I do worry that connections have a handicap job in mind
and therefore may not want her to go in here whilst the sharp track would also
be a concern but I'm going to over rule my sceptical mind and back her to win
as she only has two realistic rivals to beat. If she can stay on their coat
tails, I do fancy her to outstay them up the straight and at 5/1 I think she is
worth a punt.
The
5.30 at Wolverhampton is an interesting little race and I like the look of
James Fanshawe's FUSCHIA who could
have plenty more to offer over this 6f trip. She looked all over the winner
last time out with 1f to go but faded badly late on to finish 6th. She looked
as though she didn't stay the 7f trip that day and her free going style of
running will be much more suited to this sprint trip. Currently rated 64, I
will be amazed if she isn't a good bit better than that by the end of the
season.
