NEWMARKET REPORT FROM DAVE YOUNGMAN

WITH no real rain for a few weeks the Limekilns gallops
have been out of use but trainers have been getting action into their on
the watered gallop and the Al Bahathri. It is really important time this week
for all our top trainers to fine tine their charges with coming up
next week.

SATURDAY saw out on the gallops
supervising the work of HIGHEST GROUND and the son of skipped clear in
pleasing style from his lead horse, another horse from the Freemason Lodge to
work was the Queen's  SOVEREIGN GRANT, the son of Kingman has been off the
course since his two-year-old days but is back in full work again, he will be
gently eased back in his races and hopefully will be seen back on the
racecourse this week.

had the Queen's LIGHT REFRAIN working well
on Saturday and it is hoped to get the colt onto the racecourse later in the
season.  FIREWORKS a son of Kingman also showed his prowess in his work in
company with a good class stablemate.

had in on Saturday to ride
work and he looked to enjoy it all very much. Gosden put some nice work into
the full sister of Frankel named CHIASMA. This filly owned by Khalid Abdullah
has really blossomed recently and is taking her early education like a fine
prospect.  Also in the Clarehaven string SENITA and ZAGALO, both Frankel
juveniles are showing they have inherited the ability of their sire.

HOW good it was to see Frankie riding a winner in
the Godolphin colours once again when partnering TEREBELLUM to success in the
Dahlia stakes here at HQ on Saturday for the Gosden yard.

HOPES and dreams are made and dented up the Rowley Mile
and it was disappointing to see Pinatubo lose his unbeaten record, he will have
the chance to get back to winning ways next week at Royal as if he come
out of the Guineas well he will contest the St James Palace at the Berkshire
track under William Buick for Godolphin. daveyoungman@btinternet.com
