O’Brien plotting three-pronged assault on Newmarket highlights

Aidan O'Brien has indicated he could have three runners in both the 1,000 Guineas and Coronation Cup at next month.

The British Authority have high hopes of in Great Britain being cleared to resume on June 1 with the Guineas meeting on the Rowley Mile slated to be held on the first weekend.

A strong Ballydole contingent is expected to make the trip to Suffolk with O'Brien set to have multiple runners in the big races, including the fillies' , the 1,000 Guineas.

Moyglare Stud Stakes winner Love is set to lead the charge for a trio of O'Brien runners with Peaceful and highly-rated maiden So Wonderful also understood to be in the mix.

“We've always liked Love,” O'Brien told the Racing Post. “She's a very straightforward filly and we always thought she'd stay further than a mile.

“She ran well at Newmarket [third in bet365 Fillies' Mile] when she went there with a view to coming back and running in the Guineas.”

Meanwhile, Investec winner Anthony Van Dyck could start his season in the Coronation Cup, which has been rerouted to Newmarket.

O'Brien says he is pleased with how the four-year-old is shaping up after a disappointing end to last year and expects him to join Sir Dragonet and Broome in the line-up for the encounter.

Having confirmed he could have up to three runners in the Coronation Cup, he added on Anthony Van Dyck: “We thought running on soft ground at [in the George VI And Queen Elizabeth Stakes] wasn't the right thing to do and he paid for it.

“He's in good form now and we're happy with his work. The plan is to keep him on good ground ? he's doing everything right at the moment.”
