Qatar Racing manager David Redvers has revealed he has high hopes for Heart Reef in the Oaks and Kameko in the 2000 Guineas this year.
Redvers will oversee Qatar Racing’s British summer operation when the action hopefully resumes soon.
He has plenty of top talent battling for race wins but Heart Reef and Kameko are among the horses he expects to catch the eye the most.
Redvers told Sporting Life http://bit.ly/RA-Digital when questioned about Heart Reef: “(She) won a Haydock maiden. She was slightly over the top when running in a stakes race at Newmarket afterwards. She’s done very well over the winter and will hold an Oaks entry.”
While on Kameko, who had victories at Newcastle and Sandown and seconds at Sandown and Newmarket last year, Redvers admitted he remains the leading name in the Qatar Racing British ranks.
He added: “He is all set for the Guineas and hopefully following in Roaring Lion’s footsteps. He’s our most exciting prospect by some way.”
