Elliott delighted with Tiger Roll

Trainer Gordon Elliott says came through one of his final pieces of work in flying colours ahead of the .

The 10-year-old worked alongside the rest of Elliott's stable at on as the Irish handler fine-tunes his preparations for Prestbury Park.

Tiger Roll finished fifth on his seasonal reappearance at last month, and fans are hoping he can come through the Festival unscathed before trying to win his third in a row.

Despite suffering a setback in November, Tiger Roll is reportedly on track after working alongside Ballymore Novies' Hurdle favourite Envoi Allen.

When asked about Tiger Roll, Elliott said: “I was delighted with Tiger Roll. Lisa rode him, and everything went well, so it's all go for the cross-country.

“At this stage, they are all just ticking over ahead of , but we needed to get a good blow into Tiger, and I'm delighted by what he did there. I couldn't be happier.”

Tiger Roll won all three of his outings in 2019 and he remains the favourite for the Glenfarclas Cross Country Chase on at the Festival.
