Meanwhile, the world's top-rated miler Beauty Generation may have to fend off a quality crop of UK and Irish horses in December's Hong Kong Mile, with the likes of British Champion Stakes winner Magical and Queen Elizabeth Stakes II winner King Of Change both entered in the Group 1 contest.
The seven-year-old had won 10 races in a row prior to Sunday's defeat under top-weight in the Group 2 Queen Mother Memorial Cup at Sha Tin and he'll look to get back to winning ways in the Group 2 Jockey Club Mile on 17th November, before seeking to equal the record of three consecutive wins in the HK$25 million Hong Kong Mile.
As well as Magical, master of Ballydoyle Aidan O'Brien has entered 2,000 Guineas winner Magna Grecia as well as Circus Maximus, while Godolphin's Benbatl and Richard Hannon's Billesdon Brook complete a high-class line-up. There's plenty of European interest in the Hong Kong Sprint, with the speedy Flying Five Stakes winner Fairyland, July Cup victor Ten Sovereigns, and Advertise, winner of the Commonwealth Cup and Prix Maurice de Gheest, all entered. The European battalion could face last year's winner Beat The Clock as well as HK's rising star, Aethero.
The 2019 LONGINES Hong Kong International Races has attracted a bounty of stars among 202 nominated horses, with 66 Group 1 winners from 12 countries/regions eyeing the four-race HK$93 million event at Sha Tin on 8 December.
