Grand National hope Seeyouatmidnight has changed owners in the lead-up to Saturday’s showpiece race.
David and Patricia Thompson of Cheveley Park Stud have bought the 10-year-old and will be under their guidance for the Aintree contest this weekend.
Trained by Sandy Thomson, Seeyouatmidnight is considered a lively contender for the National with connections feeling he will be well suited to the tough race conditions on Merseyside.
Chris Richardson, managing director of Cheveley Park Stud, said on Monday: “The deal was brokered by Anthony Bromley, and Mr and Mrs Thompson are looking forward to being involved again in the Grand National.
“Seeyouatmidnight is an exciting horse who looks to have good prospects for Aintree. Hopefully he’ll give everyone a good run for their money.”
Seeyouatmidnight has only had one outing in preparation for the National and finished third in the Doom Bar Handicap Chase at Newbury behind Tiquer on March 24.
