Jockey James Bowen has revealed his excitement ahead of taking part in the Grand National next weekend.
Bowen has the opportunity to become the youngest ever winner of the Grand National, breaking an 80-year record, if he can get a good performance out of Shantou Flyer.
He is already the youngest rider to win the Welsh Grand National after guiding Raz De Mee to glory at Chepstow in January.
The 17-year-old, who will beat the previous record by two months if he prevails at Aintree, appears to be taking it all in his stride and has revealed his excitement at getting to ride out on the famous course.
?It?s all good, going well,? Bowen said.
?It?s brilliant to even get a ride in the race. It would be great to win it. It?s great to have a ride in my first year riding ? and an outside ride. It?s a big thing. You grow up watching a race like the National.?
