Supasundae’s strong display in the Stayers’ Hurdle at Cheltenham could now see him feature at both Aintree and Punchestown Festivals.
County Kildare trainer Jessica Harrington is plotting outings in the Aintree Hurdle on April 12 and the Champion Stayers’ Hurdle in Ireland a fortnight later for the eight-year-old after his admirable performance when finishing second to Penhill by only two lengths at last week’s festival.
“There’s not a bother on him. He’s in great form,” Harrington said.
“We’re not quite sure, but he might go to Aintree and Punchestown.”
Meanwhile, Harrington expects to have an update on Sizing John later this week after the 2017 Cheltenham Gold Cup winner had to withdraw from this year’s race eight days before because of a hairline non-displaced fracture of his pelvis.
She added: “He gets rescanned on Thursday this week and then we’ll have an update on him.”
