Frankie Dettori has confirmed he is on track to make his return to action at Newmarket‘s July Festival.
Dettori has been sidelined since injuring his shoulder and arm when falling in the paddock at Yarmouth on June 13, although he rode Shutter Speed in the Prix De Diane five days later.
The 46-year-old was subsequently forced to miss Royal Ascot and has recently returned to the UK after going through his rehabilitation in Sardinia.
The Italian confirmed he will head to the three-day meeting on Thursday to ride Crowned Eagle in the Group three Bahrain Trophy.
“The plan is to get back at Newmarket on Thursday,” Dettori told Sky Sports.
“I have had almost a month off and started riding horses last week.
“The shoulder seems fine and I’ve done lots of swimming and physio.”
