Queen’s Trust will be attempting to go one better than 12 months ago in the Qatar Nassau Stakes at Goodwood in August.
The four-year-old had to settle for second at Glorious Goodwood last year with Minding beating her to the victory in what was a very competitive field.
Queen?s Trust made her seasonal bow in May at York but looked out of shape, although owner Sir Michael Stoute was happier with her performance in Ascot last time out.
The 2016 Breeders? Cup Filly & Mare Turf winner was a slow starter at Ascot but she recovered well to come home fourth.
Cheveley Park Stud racing manager Chris Richardson admitted the Ascot trip didn?t go entirely to plan, but he is hopeful she can use that outing as a platform to go one better in this year?s Nassau Stakes.
“She was slowly away from the stalls at Ascot which is one of her traits and she did the same last year,? Richardson said.
“She got hemmed in when she tried to get a run and was flying at the finish. We definitely felt she could have been a bit closer.
“She will go for the Nassau now. You can never take things for granted, but it is the right race for her and she ran well when she finished second in it last year.”
