Connections say Mirage Dancer is “going in at the deep end” ahead of a tilt at the Homeserve Dee Stakes at Chester on Friday.
The Khalid Abdullah-owned three-year-old won on his only previous start at Doncaster in October and heads into the race at Chester as somewhat of an unknown quantity.
Abdullah’s racing manager, Teddy Grimthorpe, is confident Mirage Dancer will impress and says trainer Sir Michael Stoute is pleased with his preparation.
He said: “He’s taken a little while to come to hand, but Sir Michael is happy with him. He is going in at the deep end a little bit, so we’ll see how he gets on.”
