Aidan O’Brien believes a run in the Coronation Cup could now be an option for Seventh Heaven.
The four-year-old impressed in her seasonal reappearance on Saturday, finishing second to John Gosden‘s Jack Hobbs in the Group 1 Longines Dubai Sheema Classic.
Having won last year’s Irish and Yorkshire Oaks, much is expected of her again this year, and following her poor outing in the 2016 Investec Oaks, a return to Epsom for the Coronation Cup could be on the cards.
O’Brien admits he was pleased with what he saw from her in the UAE and believes she could be a leading contender come June.
He said: “It (Dubai) is a tough place to go. It is very competitive there, but they all seem fine this morning.
“I would have worried about Seventh Heaven on that ground as I always thought she wanted it fast, but she ran very well. You would have to be very happy with her, and would be thinking about all those mile-and-a-half races like the Coronation. She was staying on well.”
