Trainer Nicky Henderson has ruled Daphne Du Clos out of the Weatherbys Champion Bumper at Cheltenham.
A winner in the same race at last year?s festival, she was expected to compete again this month but that is not going to happen as Henderson says she would not cope with it.
As a four-year-old and a filly she would have carried more than a stone and, as a result, Henderson says she is not up to it and will sit it out, Claimantakinforgan will run instead.
“We've simply decided that she's not going to cope with it, and she'll sit still for a while now,” explained Henderson. “We're going to run Claimantakinforgan in the race.”
