Nigel Twiston-Davies has revealed The New One has a couple of options to make his chasing debut at some point in November.
The eight-year-old hurdler, who won at the Cheltenham Festival in 2013 before coming up short in his past two outings in the Champion Hurdle, has been lined up for potential outings at both Haydock and Ascot in the coming week.
There is also the potential for an appearance at Kempton later this month and a mouth-watering head-to-head against last season’s Supreme Novices’ Hurdle winner Altior.
“He will be entered at Kempton on the 21st and he will be entered at Ascot at the end of next week and he’s in at Haydock,” said Twiston-Davies.
“He is looking very good. You hope he will be as good over fences but you don’t know until they do it. His jumping at home has been superb.”
