Minding has been honoured with the Cartier Horse of the Year prize at the 26th annual Cartier Racing Awards.
The talented runner, who also claimed the prize in the Cartier Three-Year-Old Filly category, was a five-time Group 1 winner in 2016 following some stunning victories in feature races.
Minding won the QIPCO 1000 Guineas, Investec Oaks, Sea The Stars Pretty Polly Stakes, Qatar Nassau Stakes and Queen Elizabeth II Stakes in a remarkable 12 months for the Aidan O’Brien-trained star.
Found, who played his part in a 1-2-3 for O’Brien in last month’s Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe, was took the Cartier Older Horse Award, with the likes of Postponed, Limato and Highland Reel also competing for the honour.
