Neil says Zeroshadesofgrey is set to return to at the end of the month after he impressed winning there last week.

The seven-year-old saw off Royal Vacation in the three-mile outing and King says a return to the West Yorkshire track is being lined up.

“He's come out of the race really well, in top form,” said King. “I'd have been hugely disappointed if he'd gone there and not won his race. Driving up there I thought the only thing that would get in his way was the fences.

“He did win it very cosily and he's come home absolutely fine.

“I'm not sure where we'll go with him, but we could go back to Wetherby for another novice chase at the end of the month.”

He added: “Like so many, he'll be so much better when it rains. He wants softer ground, really. I've always held him in high regard.”
