Rebecca Curtis is confident that Irish Cavalier will be “top class” following his win in the bet365 Charlie Hall Chase at Wetherby.
The seven-year-old grey was in fine form on Saturday as he came out on top ahead of Menorah and Cue Card in the Grade Two over three miles.
It was a surprise result but definitely deserved for Irish Cavalier, which has left Curtis very hopeful for the future and considering a place in the Betfair Chase at Haydock on November 19.
“We’ll have a think what to do now. It depends what the ground will be at Haydock for the Betfair, but I wouldn’t rule that out,” said Curtis on Sunday.
“Hopefully he’ll just keep on improving. He has improved every year. It would be nice if that could continue and he’ll be top class, we hope.”
