Pique Sous is set to be campaigned on the all-weather this winter as he looks to recover from stiffness and soreness.
The nine-year-old finished seventh in the Ascot Stakes last time out but has not raced since then and has had some slight injury concerns.
Steve Massey, racing manager for the owners, feels a stint on the all-weather with a view to running at Lingfield on Good Friday will serve Pique Sous well.
He said: “Pique Sous has been a bit stiff and sore since Ascot. He’s had a couple of X-rays, but nothing came to light.
“There’s definitely some issue there, so he’s having a few weeks on the walker and then he’ll be built back up.
“We know he doesn’t want soft ground, so after discussing it with Willie, we’ve decided he’ll go on the all-weather from mid-December onwards.”
