Richard Fahey believes Ribchester will be even better when he lines up in October’s Queen Elizabeth II Stakes at Ascot.
The three-year-old provided the Malton trainer with one of his biggest wins to date when he emerged victorious in the Prix Jacques le Marois at Deauville earlier this month, and he will be hoping to build on that result in the one-mile Group One race on October 15.
Fahey is convinced that Ribchester will continue to improve over time and is excited by the prospect of seeing the bay colt in action at Ascot.
Fahey said: “It was a fantastic day for the whole team in France. He will go straight to the QEII now. I’ve always felt he is a horse that will improve with racing and physically he looks the best he has ever looked.
“What he looks like in six weeks’ time will be exciting. With a bit of luck hopefully he can win more Group One races.”
