Ed Vaughan believes Mehronissa could be set to feature in the Haydock Sprint Cup after her win at Pontefract on Sunday.
The four-year-old managed to land the EBF Stallions Highfield Farm Flying Fillies’ Stakes over the weekend in good company and now her owners are looking at her next challenge.
Vaughan has been considering the Sceptre Stakes at Doncaster‘s St Leger meet but the Haydock Sprint on September 3 could be an option.
“She was up in class but when you have been winning handicaps off a mark of 93 it isn’t much higher to go in a Listed race, and she had done it against colts and geldings,” said Vaughan.
“We might look at supplementing her for the Haydock Sprint as that race was run in a fast time.”
