Trainer David O’Meara has revealed the highly-rated Suedois is likely to feature at Haydock on September 3.
The talented sprinter is yet to pick up a victory in 2016 but there have been a number of impressive performances, having finished runner-up at Doncaster, Newmarket and York.
O’Meara’s charge looked in good shape last time out when taking fourth amongst quality company in the Prix Maurice de Gheest at Deauville on Sunday.
Attentions are now turning towards the next meeting for Suedois and the trainer says the July run at Newmarket this year has opened the door for a shot at the Sprint Cup at Haydock.
“Suedois ran a good race but he would have been better off drawn a little bit further inside, rather than where he was,” he said. “He was only beaten a couple of lengths into fourth.
“I’d imagine he will go for the Sprint Cup at Haydock next.”
