Trainer Andrew Balding has revealed Dancing Star could race in the William Hill Ayr Gold Cup on September 17.
Dancing Star produced a sensational performance at Glorious Goodwood last week to clinch victory in the Stewards’ Cup and become the first filly for 24 years to win the prestigious sprint.
The three-year-old has now racked up four wins from her previous five outings and the impressive performances are opening up several options for the next appearance.
Balding was rumoured to be targeting the British Champions Sprint Stakes at Ascot on October 15 but thoughts have now turned towards a run at Ayr next month.
“I wouldn’t rule that [Ayr Gold Cup] out completely,” he told At The Races. “It’s a valuable race and we are still in the hat, as it were. She’s improving fast. She’s got better and better.
“She’s not a head-case like her famous relation [Lochsong] – she’s nothing but a pleasure to train.”
