Aidan Coleman is confident of success at the Cheltenham Festival this year with dual bumper winner High Bridge his best hope.
The 27-year-old, who currently occupies second spot behind Richard Johnson in the National Hunt jockeys’ championship, is poised to be handed a host of rides at next month’s four-day event.
However Coleman feels five-year-old High Bridge could give him a win in the Weatherbys Champion Bumper on March 16 after being impressed by the John Ferguson-trained runner in victories at Huntingdon and Catterick.
He said: “High Bridge is a horse I like and could be my best chance at Cheltenham.
“He has won at Huntingdon and Catterick and has done everything nicely, while he has also been placed at Cheltenham.
“I rode work on him the Saturday before last up in Newmarket and he worked very nicely indeed.
“I will be gutted when he goes to Godolphin next year.”
