Jim Dreaper has confirmed that Goonyella will go to the Becher Chase after impressing on his return at Cork.
The eight-year-old came home third in Ireland at the start of the month and, having come out of the race well, connections are now looking ahead.
His next goal is the Becher Chase on December 5 at Aintree and he will be looking for a better time than last year, when he unseated jockey JJ Burke.
After winning the Midlands Grand National and finishing second in the Scottish Grand National last season, Dreaper knows his charge has the talent to compete and is confident he will be able to improve on his last outing at Aintree.
“All being well, we hope to bring him over for the Becher,” he said. “Last year he just jumped too high and lost his jockey.”
