Trainer Peter Chapple-Hyam insists preparations have gone well for Arod‘s bid to win the William Hill Cox Plate at Moonee Valley.
The four-year-old will compete Down Under on Saturday after impressing this season at Ascot and at Glorious Goodwood.
He was expected to miss out on the race this weekend due to quarantine rules but the bay colt has been given the go ahead and Chapple-Hyam is confident of a strong performance.
“Everything has gone well. This has been the plan for a long time, although it was on and then off and then on again, but everyone who’s with him is very happy,” he told reporters.
“I’ve been speaking with the lads twice a day. They’ve sent me videos of him working and I’ve been checking on the times and telling them what to do and things like that. It’s all worked well.
“I’m really looking forward to seeing him run.”
