Intilaaq camp eye Legacy

have confirmed that Intilaaq's next run will come in the Group Three Legacy Cup later this month.

The three-year-old has won on his last two outings, with the most impressive of those victories coming courtesy of a five-length triumph ahead of Master Carpenter at on August 8.


Intilaaq's form has led to discussions about a potential entry into the Champions Stakes but there is still plenty of time before the race at on October 17.


His owner Hamdan Al Maktoum's manager has now confirmed he will take part in the Legacy Cup on September 19 at and after that the camp will discuss the Roger Varian-trained horse's next move.


“Intilaaq is going to go to Newbury for the race known as the Arc Trial (Legacy Cup),” Gold said. “Depending on how he goes there will dictate whether we are still looking at a race like the Champion Stakes.


“We'll find out if he is still on the upward curve it looked like he was on at Haydock.”
