Nick Peacock is relishing the Ebor meeting at York where he hopes to see both Wicklow Brave and Simenon enjoy some success.
The owner is confident that Wicklow Brave is back in the groove which saw him win his first two starts under Flat rules earlier this year, before struggling in the Queen Alexandra Stakes at Royal Ascot and disappointing in the Galway Hurdle.
He will run in the Ebor itself, while Simenon is looking to go one better than his second place in the Lonsdale Cup in 2013.
Peacock said: “He’s in good order and all being well he’ll be at York next week.
“I don’t think Galway suited him that much. It was a rough old race and I think that run is probably best ignored.”
On Simenon, who failed to shine in the Goodwood Cup last time, Peacock added: “I think he’ll be going to York as well for the Lonsdale.
“He ran very well in the race two years ago and I think York suits him a lot better at Goodwood.”
