Henderson will not replace Geraghty

has confirmed that he will not be appointing a new stable jockey at Seven Barrows following ‘s departure.

The Irish rider left the position to take up a role as the retained rider for owner in June, although he will still be part of the overall set-up at the Berkshire stables.

Trainer Henderson has now revealed that he will not appoint a direct replacement for the 35-year-old and will instead split the stable rides between David Bass, and Andrew Tinkler.

He said: “I know there has been a lot of talk, and the bookies have had their fun, but I’ve had no thought, at any stage, of bringing in someone new.”

The 64-year-old confirmed that he has complete faith in all three jockeys to do a good job when called upon and he believes that there was no one better to come in from the outside.

He said: “Whoever was available would not be as good as what we have here already. In the past, these boys were such a help to Barry, doing a lot of the essential work at home.”

“They are seriously good jockeys, all three of them rode winners last season and I have 100 per cent confidence in them.”
