John Gosden has suggested that Golden Horn could run in both the Coral-Eclipse and the King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes.
Golden Horn showed class, speed and stamina just over two weeks ago to win the Derby at Epsom, with Frankie Dettori guiding the horse to victory in his first ride in the race since 2011.
There had been fears that Golden Horn would not last the 12-furlong trip, but he moved into contention inside the final three furlongs before easing past Jack Hobbs and going on to win in fine style.
As Golden Horn has now ended any doubts about his stamina, Gosden is keen to see how well he will do in longer races.
He told The Times: “Golden Horn did his first breeze since the Derby on Saturday, just by himself.
“He’s in the Eclipse and the King George and I need to talk it through with his owner. But he could do both.”
