Dutch Connection reversed 2000 Guineas form to run out a game winner of the Jersey Stakes at Royal Ascot.
Charlie Hills‘ three-year-old was seventh to Gleneagles at Newmarket last month, finishing behind Ivawood and Bossy Guest, but turned the tables on the drop back down to seven furlongs.
Jim Crowley kept last season’s Acomb Stakes winner up to his work on the run to the line to hold Fadhayyil, saddled by the winning trainer’s father Barry, by half-a-length, with Bossy Guest third as favourite Ivawood disappointed.

American raider Luck Of The Kitten was quickly out of the stalls and led early with Aces and Mister Universe, but there appeared to be no great pace to the contest.
That ensured a host of horses were in with a chance entering the final two furlongs as Toscanini looked to be travelling exceptionally well on the far side.
But, when push came to shove, Dutch Connection showed the best turn of foot to take a length out of the field as Fadhayyil made her move on the stands’ side, with Tupi also throwing down a challenge.
Dutch Connection, though, held off the run of Fadhayyil as Bossy Guest took third close home on the far side of the track.
The hard luck story of the race appeared to be Aidan O’Brien‘s Sir Isaac Newton, who did not get a clear run before closing near the line without being given a hard time.
