Mallowney has Naas hopes

Trainer Tim Doyle feels conditions should suit Mallowney when he runs in the Your Local Shop Chase at .

The nine-year-old is set to race in the Grade Two contest on Sunday after scoring at back in January.

“He’s in good form and there are a lot of positives to take,” he said. “He was beaten by Twinlight at over Christmas but now gets 5lb, which puts him above everything on ratings, and he also likes Naas.

“I’ve been happy with him since his win the last day and we’re hoping he can put two good runs together now.

“He’s best with cut in the ground and I’m not looking much beyond Sunday with him but, bar something exceptional happening, he won’t be going to .”
